The greatest challenge facing the engineering industry is the recruitment and retention of skilled people. We recruit both experienced engineers and bring motivated young people into the industry through our own apprenticeship scheme, supporting them as they learn the traditional skills that remain so important.

Our apprentices learn from the experienced team and have the opportunity to achieve formal technical qualifications. Through this scheme we believe we are ensuring the continuity of our business and the outstanding skills of our people. We're also playing a small part in sustaining the engineering industry for the future.

“I was at college when the job came up at Reekie Machining. Now I'm working and finishing my qualification part-time. I want to finish my apprenticeship and become part of the in-situ team -
I want to see the world.” Steven Ross, apprentice
