Lead Generation & Marketing Executive

Since 1946, Reekie Machining has solved machining problems that others can’t. Our work runs from offshore wind monopiles and nuclear new-build to Royal Navy submarines. We’re an independent, family-run business, and in-situ machining is all we do.

We’re looking for someone who loves sales and enjoys talking to people to help more companies hear about us before they need us.

What you’ll do

• Build and work your own call list of lapsed customers and new prospects, found through LinkedIn and industry research
• Have real conversations to find out what each company needs and when
• Set up the right next step: a Teams call with one of our project engineers, or a meeting with our directors
• Keep in touch with contacts who don’t need us yet, so we’re the first name they think of
• Help grow our brand through LinkedIn posts, case studies and website updates

You won’t be closing deals or pricing jobs. Your job is to start the conversations that lead to them.

What we’re looking for

• You enjoy the phone and keep going on the days when nothing lands
• You’re organised and log everything
• You’re curious, and you’ll want to learn why a customer machines a 10-metre flange in place
• Some sales experience is needed, in any setting: retail, telesales, recruitment, hospitality or similar. No engineering background is needed, because we’ll teach you the industry.

• £25,000–£30,000 base salary, plus a performance bonus

• Office-based to start, with hybrid flexibility after 6–12 months

Business Development & Operations Representative – South West (REF: BDOP0926)
Field-based in Plymouth or Bristol | Competitive salary

The Role
Become Reekie Machining’s regional lead in the South West. You’ll build customer relationships, win new in-situ machining work, and help plan and deliver projects on site, backed by our HQ near Glasgow. This isn’t a traditional sales role. It’s a mix of business development, project engineering and hands-on site work.

About You
You’ll have a strong engineering or machining background, perhaps as a project or site engineer, shutdown lead or time-served machinist. You’re confident on industrial sites and with customers, and happy working independently. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential. In-situ machining experience, existing site passes, and a background in nuclear, power, marine or renewables would be a bonus.

In-Situ Machinist (REF: INMA0626)
Site-based across the UK, Europe and worldwide | £70k–£100k

The Role
Take your machining skills out of the workshop and onto site. You’ll work on nuclear, oil and gas, renewables, aerospace and naval projects, playing your part in globally significant work. No in-situ experience? No problem. We’ll give you full training and support to develop your skills.

About You
You’re a time-served machinist with a can-do attitude who enjoys solving problems and building good relationships with customers. You’re physically fit, adaptable, keen to keep learning, and happy working alone or as part of a team.

On the Road
Most of our work is on customer sites across the UK, with more and more in Europe and worldwide. You must be up for travel and spending extended periods away from home. In return, you’ll get enhanced rates for site, nightshift and offshore work. Not local? No problem. We welcome applications from across the country.
