David joined the company in 2007 after three years with BAE Systems Naval Ships. With First Class BEng Naval Architecture and MSc Marine Technology, David (grandson of the founder) has taken over the reigns, driving the company forward into an new era, whilst maintaining a role as sales engineer for the insitu service

A time served craftsman, holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical & Electronic Systems Design Engineering and is a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. Has had extensive experience since joining Reekie Machining in the early 1990s, including ten years as in situ machinist.

Joined the team in September 2020 as an Insitu Graduate Project Engineer.  Educated to Masters level in Mechanical Engineering, Alistair is at the start of his career in engineering and aspires to become a vital cog in the Reekie wheel.

Started with Reekie Machinig in 2017, bringing over 30 years of experience in sub contract machining. With a moto, “I don’t do problems, I do solutions”, Alan has now moved on from machine shop supervisor and taken on the challenge of the Sales Project Engineer role.

Started as an apprentice mechanical fitter in 1990 and went on to gain an Honours Degree in Mechatronics through part-time study. Alan’s outstanding engineering and IT skills are utilised to the full at Reekie Machining.

Brings 16 years industry experience with a strong background in power generation, petrochemical, and refineries. Starting on the tools, machining and carrying out bolting operations, on and offshore in the UK and overseas. Very experienced in quoting, planning, and executing outages and building long term relationships with customers to meet individual needs.

Charlotte has taken on a new role in the organisation heading up the front office team.  Whilst still assisting our team of insitu project engineers and providing the logistics support required to have all necessary resources, people and equipment in the right place with all the correct qualifications to complete the projects.

Working at Reekie’s since 1995, using experience and skills learnt over the years to carry out and fulfil various duties within the Accounts Department.

Is a University Post Graduate of Business and Management with IT who joined us in 2005. He has undertaken further qualifications and training to ensure our Accounts department can move forward effectively.  In April 2023 he put more of his skills to use by adding to his role in assisting our IT department, an integral part of the company with all IT being dealt with in house.

Joined us as a Graduate Project Engineer in August 2023 after achieving 1st Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering and has since progressed to the role of In situ Supervisor in January 2025.

From a Manufacturing Engineering background, trained in CNC Machining, David has been in the role of Production Controller since September 2023 aspiring to develop his career away from the tools.

As Operations Manager since January 2025, Iain is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all team tasking, for both In-Situ and Machine workshop based activities.
