A family business founded 60 years ago to provide an excellent service in design and manufacture of portable machine tools, Reekie Machining has grown and thrived by adapting to the changing demands of our customers and by keeping our people, equipment and systems up to date.
The global marketplace places pressure on every part of our customers' operations. Competitive prices are important, as are reliability, integrity and quality.

| 1979 | AGM approves payment of first ever dividend |
| 1983 | Circulators produced for Torness, Heysham II and Whessoe |
| 1989 | Colin Reekie appointed MD |
| 1994 | R5,000 machine manufactured and used on Uisge Gorm contract at LOL |
| 1995 | Reekie machines ordered for CALRAM BARMAC, BHP at Nigg |
| 1996 | Contracts included Shell, CNS, Anasuria contract for AMEC, Schiehallion for AMEC, Glas Dowr for LOL, Allseas Solitaire for Swan Hunter |
| 1997 | Cairu Brazil contract for Bluewater |
| 2002 | Introduction of production software giving full traceability at the touch of a button |
| 2003 | Plant investment of £166,000 in two new CNC lathes and a VMC |
| 2004 | Achieved accreditation to ISO 9001:2000 BM Trada |
