turning

Turning operations can be performed on shafts, pins or other cylinders, concentric or eccentric to required datums. If necessary using linishing equipment, our turning machines can provide surface finishes up to Ra0.8mm.

The turning is performed using dedicated turning machines or modified facing machines, pipe cutting machines depending on sizes or the desired specification.

We have, to date, successfully turned components up to 7m diameter. Screwing cutting is performed using accessories on turning machines or boring machines to give required thread form and pitch configurations.

There may be dual power sources used, e.g. hydraulic and electrical linishing.
