pipe cutting

Reekie Machining have a full range of portable pipe cutting and weld prepping machines to cover up to 52" (1321mm) using single point tool cutting.

Up to 2m diameter by pipe mills and unlimited sizes of vessels can be cut using specially designed manufactured milling rails and heads (we have machined circumferential vessels up to 6.5m diameter). Pipes can be cut, or cut and weld prepped or simply weld prepped clear to an existing open end.

Weld preps can be single, double or compound angle. Match boring and/or outside diameter transition turning can also be performed to suit the required specification, to clean up out of round pipes, vessels etc. Where an open end requires to be weld prepped, bore or outside diameter mounted, flange facing machines can be used to machine the weld prep.

Reekie Machining have three families of pipe cutting and weld prepping equipment. Split case designs are able to operate up to 52" diameter. Secondly, saws and pipe mill are suitable for up to 2000mm. Finally, special purpose milling rails and heads to are available to suit the required sizes from our customers. To date we have machined up to 6.5m diameter. The above machines can also be used for weld prepping. The size can be extended using bore mounted facing machines giving up to 20m diameters.
