milling

Milling operations are performed using a combination of milling heads and slides, beams and rails. The actual milling configuration is designed to suit particular applications.

Milling operations include face milling, end milling and slot drilling. Existing maximum face milling cutter diameter is 315mm, which can take an 8mm depth of cut.

Milling heads can also be combined with the larger flange facing machines providing the benefits of rapid metal removal with the inherent rigidity of the flange facing machines. Applications of milling equipment include motor and pump mounts, parallel rail mounts, shaft and housing keyways,

All our machines and mounting arrangements can be combined to meet the job application. Reekie Machining milling equipment can be fitted to various slideway systems and/or milling frames to permit milling up to 7m lengths or pads up to 4000 long x 2000 wide in one setting.
