reekie machiningin situ and off site services
in situ

Reekie Machining offers the flexible option of contract hire in-situ machining, covering flange facing, pipe cutting, weld prepping, milling, drilling, boring, turning, valve lapping and laser aligning.

Highly skilled, experienced operators, with a range of over 100 portable machine tools, are available to perform the above operations to tight tolerances and agreed customer requirements.

A typical example would be machining the sealing faces of a valve body to tolerances of 0.001" (0.025mm) or to machine a 7m diameter flange flat within 0.2mm. The majority of our portable machine tools are air powered, providing safe operation in hazardous areas such as petrochemical plants and off- shore oil and gas platforms. Hydraulic or electrical power are other alternatives when appropriate.

Due to the wide spectrum of contracts undertaken by Reekie Machining all our operators are time served turners or machine tool fitters, adaptable, versatile and dedicated; experienced in working to tight tolerances and deadlines to ensure that jobs are completed to schedule. In addition, they are classified radiation workers. They also possess RGIT certificates and receive the appropriate medical examinations.
