Flange Integrity Manager - (REF: FLINMA0424)

The Role

The position of Flange Integrity Manager is a key role to support the growth of Reekie Machining’s Bolting Service.

 

The role will involve all aspects of the bolting service, including bidding for work, preparing, and maintaining equipment and resources and running the projects on site to a successful completion. The Flange Integrity Manager will be supported by the Business Development Manager and the existing Operations team.  It will involve office and site-based working across the UK.

 

Key Tasks

– Working with Business Development Manager to identify new sites and projects for opportunities, including supporting customer visits.

– Build strong relationships with customers at key sites, by carrying out sales related activities for flange integrity services.

– Respond to customer enquiries, including the creation of proposals and submission to client.

– On receipt of new orders, complete line walks at client site, plan scopes of work, source and secure equipment and manpower with support from the operations team.

– Create job packs for scopes including creation of RAMS and any supporting calculations using our flange management software.

– Effectively plan and run all bolting scopes and outages, including running an effective flange management programme and supervising onsite teams, either remotely or onsite depending on size of job, including acting as site manager for the duration of large outages.

– Take ownership of the Reekie bolting equipment including control of calibrations and servicing, and working with dedicated workshop technician to ensure all equipment is kept in      good working condition and ready to be picked as required for all jobs.

Skills and Experience – Essential

– 10+ years’ experience on oil refinery, petrochemical, and heavy industrial shutdowns with a proven history of completing successful flange integrity scopes of work.

– Experience of supervising teams of technicians on site.

– TMJI Bolting Certification

 

Skills and Experience – Desirable

– Time served Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting or similar.

– Strong supervisory and customer facing skills, support and training to develop these will be provided.

 

Location: Remote working with occasional visits to Reekie HQ.  A significant amount of time working away from home on customer sites.

 

Salary: Base salary (circa £35 to £45K) dependent on experience with site rate uplift.  Company mobile, laptop, and van.

 

Holiday: 33 days a year, including 8 public holidays.

CNC Machinist - Miller or Turner (REF: MSCNC0723)

The Role

We are looking for CNC Machinist (Turner or Miller) with experience in programming machines or who are willing and keen to learn and develop their skills to become a great machinist.  Training and support will be given to enhance employees’ skills set.

 

Skill Set

– Ideally you will have experience of Fanuc control system, to program, set and operate. We would also consider candidates with experience of any of the following Fanuc/Heidenhain/Fagor control systems.

– Be able to programme the machine from a drawing then machine the part with minimum supervision.

– Carry out offline programming at the work centre, training can be given to support this.

– Ability to be flexible in a dynamic working environment.

– Work on own initiative, proactive problem solvers.

– Keen to learn and develop new skills.

– Willing to work overtime at short notice.

– Physically fit.

– Good standard of English, written, spoken, and reading.

 

 

Location

The role is based at our machine shop in Inchinnan Business Park, Renfrew, beside Glasgow Airport.

 

Work Pattern

Normal working hours are as follows:

Mon–Thurs     0745hrs to 1610hrs – 10min paid tea break, 25 min unpaid lunch break

Fri                        0745hrs to 1245hrs – 10 min paid tea break

To suit short term business requirements, you may be required to work, day shift, night shift or back shift , this is a condition of the employment.

 

Benefits

– 37 hours per week, basic rate is £17.77/hr.  Agreed pay increase in May 2024 of 5%.

– The potential of around 300 hours overtime per year, paid at time and a half outside normal hours and double time Saturday after 12noon and all-day Sunday.

In-situ Reserve

There is also the potential for the candidate to support our in-situ machining squad during busy periods, offering a higher rate and more hours, working at various sites throughout the UK and occasionally abroad. The rate is generally 1.5 times the machine shop rates and consist of 10-12 hour working days.

Insitu Machinist (REF: INMA0723)

The Role

We are looking for dynamic machinists, who are looking to broaden their skill out on sites.  Do you enjoy a challenge and solving problems?  Do you fancy working in a wide variety of settings from nuclear power industry, oil and gas, renewables as well as aerospace, heavy industry and naval construction and refits and many more.  The work is primarily based on sites across the UK, with increasing work in Europe and Worldwide.

Salary and Benefits

– Ability to earn up to £70,000 per year.

– Accrued Leave, accumulated at 0.1hrs per hour worked on site, paid at basic shop rate.

– The basic shop rate is £17.77/hr, enhanced rates for work on site, including dayshift, nightshift, offshore and more.

– 5% wage increase May 2024

– Overtime is paid at time and a half outside normal hours and double time Saturday after 12noon and all-day Sunday.

– Holiday entitlement, 25 days annual holidays and 8 days of public holidays each holiday year, all paid at holiday rate. (Based on the last 52 worked weeks)

– One additional day annual holiday for every 10 years’ service completed.
